A culmination of Onchan Primary School’s children submitted design ideas, including: Tia Priestnal 5C, Kenith Colcol 6G, Marni Dixon 4B, Jossi Proudfoot 3CW and Ellie Corlett 6G. TIA: “I got the idea of doing the fish on the tail from my friend. I was so surprised that my design was picked!”. KENITH: “I thought of this design when I was on a tour at St Ninian’s High School and I saw a display of lots of fish”. MARNI: “My ideas came from how much I like being on the beach and I think that sunsets just look so cool”. JOSSI: “I quite like the summer so I thought this would be good for my design”. Mrs Shimmin brought all of the designs together to create one cohesive design and Noah Lyle 6G, Emma Hill 6C and the school councillors worked together on the painting.
